Legado

Everything worth keeping, gathered while there is still time to ask.

Scroll01

Simple on purpose

Three sittings is a life.

There is no course to complete and nothing to write beforehand. You talk the way you would talk to anyone who asked, and everything worth keeping is gathered while you do.

Get started in minutes. Answer the first question and you have already begun.

Getting started01

Nothing to prepare. No forms, no homework, and never a blank page waiting for you.

Before you begin02

Stop whenever you like. It remembers where you left off, so a life can be told in short sittings.

How Legado preserves your story

Talk with Hey Legado, your way

Plate I

By chat, or by phone call. Call Legado turns it into a real back-and-forth conversation, like catching up with an old friend. No scripts, no pressure. Just you, telling your stories, in your own voice.

Watch your family tree grow

Plate II

Every story becomes a leaf on your family tree, a living tree you can turn and explore, growing fuller with each conversation, and one day a printed keepsake for your family's wall.

Invite family to add their own memories

Plate III

Send someone you love a question. A parent, a sibling, a grandchild. They answer in their own voice, and their memory joins the tree in their own words.

What Legado preserves

I

Hey Legado conversations

A warm, guided interview that draws out the life story only you can tell, in your own memories and your own way of telling them. New to it? A two-minute quiz can give Hey Legado a running start, so your very first conversation already sounds like you.

II

Call Legado

Pick a voice, and let Hey Legado call you. A real spoken conversation, not a form to fill out. For anyone who talks more easily than they type, it's the closest thing to sitting down with an old friend.

III

A living family tree

Every memory you share sprouts a leaf on your family tree, a living tree you can turn and explore, person by person, story by story. There's a simpler poster view too, and one day, a printed keepsake for your family's wall.

IV

Ask them, too

Send a question to anyone you love, like “What's your favorite memory of Dad?” They answer in their own voice, and their story joins the tree, in their own words.

V

Share, call, and return

Send your profile to the people you love. They can call or text your persona to hear your voice and stories, and pass them down for generations.

Most families lose the stories twice. Once because nobody asked, and again because nobody wrote it down.

The first one is fixable, and it is fixable today. That is the whole idea: ask while there is someone to ask, in their voice, in their own words, and keep it somewhere the people who come after can find it.

Questions

A few things families ask

Is it really their voice, or an AI?+

It's an AI voice, built from real recordings of them speaking: their stories, their personality, their way of telling them. We're always clear that you're hearing an AI persona of your loved one, not the person themselves.

Who owns the recordings? Can I delete them?+

You do. Your stories and your voice belong to you, and you can delete them at any time.

Do I need the person's permission?+

Yes. Preserving someone's voice always requires consent. For a living person, we ask for theirs clearly before any recording begins. If you're preserving someone who has passed, we ask you to confirm you have the right to preserve their memory.

Do I have to type everything, or can it be a phone call?+

Whichever feels more natural. You can talk with Hey Legado by chat, or choose Call Legado for an actual back-and-forth phone conversation. Pick a voice, and talk it through like you're on the phone with an old friend.

Can my family add their own memories, or does it all have to come from me?+

Both. Send a question to anyone you love, whether that's a parent, a sibling or a grandchild, and they answer in their own voice. Their memory joins your family tree too, in their own words.

What does the family tree actually look like?+

A living tree you can turn and explore, where every story becomes a leaf, richer and fuller the more you share. There's also a simpler poster view, and one day, a printed keepsake for your family's wall.

What does my family need to access it?+

Nothing to install. Share your profile by link, and once they have signed in they can listen, call, or text to hear you.

When should I start?+

Now, while there's a voice to record. The earlier you begin, the more of your life story, in your own words, you'll have to pass down.

Who starts one

Usually somebody who nearly left it too late.

Parents and grandparents

The ones who say they have nothing interesting to tell, and then talk for an hour about a job they had in 1968.

Families with a diagnosis

When time has become a real number rather than an abstraction, and the questions nobody got round to asking start to matter.

Anyone holding a box of photographs

Faces nobody can name any more. Legado keeps the name with the face, and the story with the name.

People writing it down anyway

If a memoir has been three years in a drawer, a conversation is a faster road to the same place.

III · The people who come after

Your story is worth keeping.

No password. No pressure. Just conversation.

Begin your story

Legado helps families preserve the voices and stories they never want to lose, one conversation, one story, one generation at a time.
